A First Look at the EAVR Headset with The Sims Petz 5

What to Expect on Your EAVR and When Meeting Your Furry Pals

The day is finally here! You just received your limited edition bundle of the EAVR™ paired with The Sims™ Petz 5 and you can’t wait to meet your new furry friends. The Sims™ Petz 5 is not only a world full of love, fur and purs, but also commitment, hardships and countless vet visits… or maybe not.

With the new EAVR™, you’ll feel like you’re actually in the world you’ve built for you and your new furry companion(s). But with great power comes great responsibility. Taking care of your pets is no easy task and just like in the real world, anything can happen to your pet in the virtual world! We’re providing below a few things you can expect when pairing your new EAVR™ with The Sims™ Petz 5.

Your POV on the EAVR

As with any game of The Sims™, you’re able to switch your point of view between family members. However, with the new Sims™ Petz 5, you’re now able to see through the point of view of your furry pal! With this new feature, you’ll gain better insight into what your pet(s) are feeling, thinking and any motives it has based on its actions. Whether Henry the hound is feeling ill, excited or homesick when at the veterinarian for a visit or at a kennel when you’re away, you’ll be sure to stay up to date on its current status!

Through the toggle on the right side of the EAVR™ headset or through the controllers pressing R2, you’re able to switch between your or your pets’ points of view. Once you’ve successfully transitioned to your pet’s POV, all trackers regarding your pet’s mood will prompt on the right side of the headset. From there, you’re ready to start taking care of your furry pal.

Taking Care of Your Pet(z)

This is where all the fun begins! Through the tracker, you’re able to see all moods of your pets including but not limited to hunger, thirst, loneliness, energy and hygienic levels, cleanliness and much more. Whether your pet requires a visit to the veterinarian will largely depend on external factors such as other pets or family members or how well you take care of your pet.

You will be notified via a “VV” pop-up message on your headset and will remain in your notifications until the visit is fulfilled. To fulfill the visit, press L1 on the controller or the “X” button on the left side of the headset. If your furry friend does not make it to the vet in time, consequences will occur.

There’s so much more you’ll be able to experience and do on the new EAVR™ while playing The Sims™ Petz 5 or any other PC game that’s updated and able to be paired with the new headset! However, we won’t spoil it any further.
